Our client approached us with a vision to transform both the main house and the ADU of their vacation home in Leucadia, just steps from the ocean. The goal was to remodel the once Tuscan-style home into a vibrant, laid-back surf haven inspired by the spirit of Mexico. Embracing Leucadia’s unofficial mantra, “Keep Leucadia Funky” a nod to the town’s fun, artsy, and surf-centric vibe, the design blends artisanal craftsmanship with a playful, relaxed energy.
Highlights of the project:
- Whole Home Remodel : Relocating the kitchen and removing adjacent walls dramatically opened up the space, enhancing the flow and maximizing sunset views.
- ADU Design Build: The design effortlessly extends from the main home to the ADU, showcasing impeccable craftsmanship and thoughtful details that create a seamless blend of style and functionality throughout the property.
- Design Collaboration: A curated collection of unique, one-of-a-kind elements that the client, designer and our team seamlessly integrated to enhance the home’s charm and character.
- Custom Craftsmanship: A new bar area was introduced, mixing a variety of materials and colors to echo the warmth and charm of Mexico.
- Design Build Collaboration: This project was a true design build collaboration, allowing the design team and our carpenters to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship throughout the home.
